Spartan Motors

Spartan Motors, Inc. got its start in 1975 outside of Lansing, Michigan, when a small group of automotive engineers decided to draw on their collective expertise and launch their own company. Their formula was simple: build a high-quality custom product for a specific consumer, sell it at a fair price, and provide great service. The team designed, built and delivered its first custom fire truck cab and chassis a few months later – and Spartan Chassis was born.  An unswerving dedication to quality, value, service and innovation has been a hallmark of Spartan’s growth over the past four decades.

Over the years, SMI has broadened the depth of its product offerings and grown their Emergency Response division to become a leading manufacturer of custom apparatus for fire departments around the world.   As one of the largest vehicle-specific engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and service companies in the world, Spartan is looking ahead with agile designs, enhanced safety features and a focus on building trucks faster and more reliably than ever before. With multiple reputable brands under common ownership, they offer a full line of custom and commercial pumpers, rescue pumpers, aerial ladders, platforms, TDAs and urban interface vehicles.  Give us a call and we can visit with you about which product will best fit your department’s needs or see the entire line of their products at www.spartanmotors.com/emergency-response.
